Mail merge for video?
The problem
There seems to be enough evidence now that video can be more effective than email when it comes to sales, customer support, recruiting etc.
However, until recently, video has been much less scalable than email - where you can easily set up personalized cold emails at scale, with automated follow ups etc.
The solution
With the advent of the latest AI technologies, now it is possible to do personalized video at scale - and RepliQ is one of the tools that enables that.
It even has added functionality like adding a dynamic background to the personalized video based on the prospect’s URL.
My take on this space
Since GPT-3 came out, I’ve seen a handful of tools like this be released already.
They will most definitely be useful and solve a real problem, but the companies in this space will need to be strategic in how they’ll differentiate from the rest of the pack.
Opportunities for differentiation
The two main places I see room for differentiation are:
Personalization Features:
RepliQ has the dynamic background feature which I think is a great differentiator!
On a similar note, other personalization features could include automatically scraping publicly available data about the prospect and being able to use them as variables in the video
Eg: “I saw that your top-ranking keyword is {{top ranking keyword}}”
Integration with workflow:
I think another big differentiator will be how seamlessly these tools can connect to the existing tech stack and workflow.
For example, instead of needing to upload a csv of prospects with their information, having a seamless integration with the CRM.
My take on RepliQ
Just based on the website and watching some videos, RepliQ looks like a great solution solving a very real problem - that has already started adding compelling “personalization features” like the dynamic backgrounds to differentiate from the competition!
